Our board certified fertility doctors make this possible through a combination of advanced LGBT fertility treatments and compassionate care.

Explore the different LGBT family building options

Knowledge is power, so our team is here to help you understand the different LGBT fertility treatments. When you visit our LGBT fertility center, your doctor will take a medical history and order basic fertility testing. They will then use this information to create a customized treatment plan for you.

Depending on your LGBT family building needs, goals and budget, your doctor may recommend one of the following paths to parenthood.

Single men and gay couples can have a biological child with help from egg donation and gestational surrogacy. One woman will donate her eggs, which our IVF lab team will fertilize with sperm from the intended father. The gestational surrogate will then carry the pregnancy and deliver the baby.

Single women and lesbian couples have several LGBT fertility treatments available to them. The first is intrauterine insemination (IUI) with donor sperm. This process involves placing sperm from a donor into the uterus of the intended mother using a catheter (a thin, flexible tube). In vitro fertilization (IVF) with donor sperm is another option, as is reciprocal IVF. This treatment allows one partner to provide her eggs and the other to carry the pregnancy.

Transgender women and men may want to consider freezing their eggs or sperm before they begin to transition. For those who have already started to transition, they may be able to conceive naturally if they temporarily pause their hormone replacement therapy (HRT). In other cases, they may need a little help from treatments like IUI, IVF, donor eggs or donor sperm.
